Finance Assistant at SPF Seniorerna

Do you want to work broadly within a smaller finance function at one of Sweden's largest membership organizations while developing in a dynamic and meaningful environment?

In light of an upcoming retirement, we are now looking for a structured finance assistant for our federation office. In addition to exciting tasks, the person who joins us will be part of our team with wonderful colleagues who enjoy working together. As a finance assistant, you will be part of a team together with the accounting manager and the finance manager, whom you will also work closely with in your daily tasks.

Role Responsibilities:

• Work with ongoing bookkeeping and monitor automated flows related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, approvals, and prepare payment files.
• Monitor and ensure member invoicing and payments from members, conducting sample checks as needed.
• Reconciliations for membership fees and distribution of these to local associations and districts within the organization.
• Participate in the preparation and establishment of monthly and annual financial statements.
• Prepare documentation for payroll administration.
• Ongoing contact and support to elected representatives locally.
• Participate in development projects.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in finance or equivalent experience from the workforce. You have experience in bookkeeping and managing large financial flows, are familiar with financial systems, and are proficient in Excel. You express yourself clearly and professionally in both spoken and written Swedish. Experience in payroll administration, development work in digitalization and automation of financial flows, or similar roles within the non-profit sector is considered an asset.

As a person, you are characterized by structure, accuracy, and commitment, as well as the will and perseverance in your work. The role places great emphasis on internal collaboration, and good teamwork skills are therefore a prerequisite for success. We also hope that you will contribute new thoughts and ideas!

The position is a permanent employment with placement at our newly renovated and pleasant office in Hornstull, Stockholm.
